Spot Illustrations
Kraken's original style emphasized vibrant, adventure-themed illustrations with fluid, portal-like imagery, evoking a sense of entering another realm through clouds or water. These spot illustrations featured a cohesive color palette with delicate linework, subtle gradients, and small accent details, all rendered in a refined 2D aesthetic.
Following a brand refresh, Kraken's new illustration style presents a more refined, streamlined visual experience. The updated aesthetic retains the portal-like quality while focusing on bolder colors and simplified forms. Gradients are minimized, and the adventurous spirit has been pared back to emphasize one or two central elements in each illustration, delivering a sleek and focused look.

My work on Kraken's social channels began with a variety of illustration styles, eventually evolving to align more closely with the brand's visual identity. I crafted custom graphics and GIFs optimized for each platform, such as Instagram (both Feed and Story formats), and X (formerly Twitter). Where possible, I incorporated motion design to add a dynamic touch to the content.

Website Illustrations
I created website illustrations that have since been used in various places and for various things, such as banners and content visuals for Kraken's Knowledge Base and Blog, internal PowerPoint templates and video conferencing backgrounds, and on Kraken's social channels.
